- How many nights is the program for?
The program will be for two nights.
- What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is on Friday afternoon at 3 pm.
Check-out is on Sunday morning at 11am.
- Will there be a guest speaker?
There will be various guest speakers. We are working on the program and the final details will be posted to this page on the website as things develop.
- Please can you tell me about the entertainers.

- Will there be a live concert ?
Yes. On Saturday night, there will be a live concert with the world famous singer Shulem Lemmer.
- Will there be a kids program?
Yes, indeed we have dedicated counselors who will be leading a camp style program throughout the entire retreat with games, activities, prizes, arts and crafts and exciting programs for kids of all ages.
- Will there be one kids program for all ages?
No it will be tailor made for the different age groups.
- What can we expect regarding the food?
The event is being catered by one of the top leading caterers of the country. There will be a pre-Shabbat light dinner, followed by a four course Friday night dinner. There will be vast spread for breakfast on Shabbat morning, a lavish Kiddush on Shabbat afternoon, followed by a late lunch and finally a grand Melaveh Malka. There will also be breakfast served on Sunday morning.
- Who is the caterer?
Craft Caterers.
- What type of families will be joining?
The retreat is geared to families and friends of Chabad West Hampstead near and far. The families have a level of observance which is normally found in Chabad houses around the world.
- The price seems a bit steep.
We understand and validate this point. However, please bear in mind that the cost is heavily subsidised. There's a cost for catering, rooms, entertainment, educators, counselors, prizes etc. It all adds up to more than the subsidised cost.
- We are a family of five how will we be placed in the rooms? Will we have two separate rooms? Or one big room?
- We will do everything we can to accommodate our guests needs. However, there is a limited amount of family rooms and a limited amount of suites. They will be given out based on first come first serve. We will be in touch with each family individually to make sure that they are satisfied with their room arrangements.
- We don't know many people coming to the retreat. Will we feel comfortable?
Yes, we will have a program at the beginning of the retreat, which aims to break the ice and introduce the guests so that everyone enjoys themselves and feels comfortable.
- Do I have to keep Shabbat?
It's up to every individual to do what they do behind closed doors. However, we do ask that in the public domains we respect the laws of Shabbat.
- Will there be time to use the hotels facilities such as the spa and golf?
There's plenty of time on Friday afternoon and Sunday morning to use the facilities.
- Do I need to bring anything along?
Just a good feeling, and a lot of joy and spirit.
